Borrower!Jade. Yep, almost done with all the beta kids.

She keeps her hair tied up with a wire bread tie to keep it out of her face because she is absolutely a wild child. She grows fresh food and helps by gathering seeds not only from scavenged things indoors but from the wilds too. She also collects fresh tufts of long dog fur that can be used for stuffing beds and furniture as needed, or for insulating walls.

Why dog fur? Because local humans have a dog named Bec who she’s befriended, and who gives her rides through the woods, to keep her safe while she’s gathering and who doesn’t mind helping her lug heavy things in exchange for tummy rubs, ear scritchies, and the detailed grooming of that itchy extra shed fur.

Shoes are for losers.

She’s also the resident tech expect, and is responsible for the local group having internet connection. She’s got a laptop currently, but when it dies she plans to switch to something else. Dave’s let her know someone got a tablet that they’ve not been keeping a great eye on the last few months, so that’s promising. She also handled the wiring and plumbing for everyone to have electricity and water.
